Description
This contract is for a comprehensive public‑works improvement of 196th Street SE and Grannis Road in Snohomish County, covering approximately 22nd Avenue SE to 189th Place SE. The scope includes site preparation (mobilization, clearing, grubbing, demolition of existing sidewalks, curbs, and asphalt), extensive earthwork (roadway and unsuitable‑foundation excavation, gravel borrow), drainage installation (concrete inlets, catch basins, and 12‑in. ductile‑iron storm‑sewer pipe), base and surface paving (crushed base, top course, hot‑mix asphalt), erosion control and roadside planting (silt fence, vegetated filter strips, seeding, fertilizing, mulching), and a full suite of traffic‑control items (high‑visibility fencing, temporary signs, flaggers, portable changeable‑message signs, permanent signing, curb & gutter, plastic stop lines). Additional items such as concrete sidewalks, detectable‑warning surfaces, utility adjustments, force‑account provisions, roadside cleanup, and property restoration are also included. The winning bidder, Kamins Construction, Inc., was required to submit a 5 % bid bond and will be required to furnish performance and payment bonds of the same percentage after award.
