ASPHALT MATERIALS (CO-OP)

This contract is for the provision of asphalt materials, including superpave asphaltic concrete, asphalt emulsion, and cold asphalt mix, to be picked up or delivered to various locations in Pinellas County. The contract has a term of 5 years, with an estimated total value of $529,250. The vendor, Ajax Paving Industries of Florida LLC, will provide the materials and services as specified in the contract. The contract includes provisions for payment, delivery, and quality control, as well as requirements for insurance, bonding, and licensing. • The contract includes three groups of materials: superpave asphaltic concrete, asphalt emulsion, and cold asphalt mix. • The vendor must have a quality control program manager and/or plant superintendent onsite to ensure accurate and quality mixes. • The vendor must have the capability to prepare a mix on demand, in less than two hours. • The vendor must have the capability to coordinate daily morning material requirements with the County. • The contract includes provisions for payment, delivery, and quality control. • The contract requires the vendor to provide proof of registration with the Florida Division of Corporations. • The contract includes a statement of no bid form, which must be returned if the vendor does not intend to bid on the requirement.
