RFB #1355 Annual School Bus Bid

Williamson County Schools (WCS) issued a sealed‑bid competitive solicitation (RFB #1355) for the purchase of approximately twelve new school buses – six 84‑passenger general‑education Type D transit units (model‑year 2025 or newer) and six 22‑plus‑3‑wheelchair‑space special‑education Type C conventional units (model‑year 2022/2025 or newer). The buses must meet detailed powertrain, chassis, safety, and equipment specifications, include Zonar‑type GPS (which was later removed per Addendum I) and other optional features, and be delivered as a single consolidated shipment with odometers ≤ 800 mi. The contract award was made to two vendors, Central States Bus and Mid‑South Bus, with all‑in fixed pricing, and the full delivery and acceptance deadline is 10 August 2025.
