First 5 Calaveras: Strategic Priorities: Strong Families, Learning & Ready for School, and Health Children Programs

The County of Calaveras, Health and Human Services Agency, is seeking proposals from qualified organizations to provide services to children from the prenatal stage through five years of age and their families living in Calaveras County. The services must achieve measurable results consistent with the 2022-2027 First 5 Calaveras Strategic Plan. The goal is to invest in high-priority service gaps that promote improved family functioning, early childhood development, and health, including early mental health, for children using trauma-informed practices. The contract has a total value of up to $250,000 per year for a two-year period. • Strong Families: Improved Family Functioning, including parent education, family engagement, play groups, and home visiting • Learning & Ready for School: Improved Child Development, including kindergarten readiness, early literacy, and quality improvement support • Healthy Children: Improved Child Health, including oral health, early mental health, and healthy social-emotional development
