Remote School Beacon Monitoring System

The City of Independence, Missouri is soliciting proposals for a City-wide Remote School Beacon Monitoring System (RSBMS). The system must operate independently of the brand/type of school beacon controller that is currently deployed. The contractor shall provide a School Beacon Timer/Clock and Cellular Modem/Remote School Beacon Management System Field Device for retro-fit into existing school beacon cabinet assemblies and provide two new solar powered school beacon structures for schools to be added to the City-wide system. The key features of the system include: • Remote monitoring and control of school beacons • Cellular modem for communication with the central system • School Beacon Timer/Clock for accurate timing • Compatibility with existing school beacon cabinet assemblies • Two new solar powered school beacon structures for added schools
