Description
The Discovery Center Roof Access contract was issued by Chelan County, Washington to provide safe roof access to the Discovery Center building for maintenance of HVAC units. The work includes constructing a set of stairs and a screen wall, and installing a platform to clean the grease trap and fan on the south side of the building. The county estimated the project cost at $215,000, but the awarded bid to Halme Builders, Inc. is priced at $205,000 for the primary scope (Schedule A). Two firms submitted bids, but the award was given to Halme Builders, Inc. after a full and open competition.
