The U.S. Air Force is issuing a Special Notice RFI to gather industry capability information for the Next‑Generation BEAR Environmental Control Unit (NGECU). The NGECU must meet strict performance criteria (max weight 650 lb, noise ≤ 80 dB(A), storage temperature −65 °F to +160 °F, retractable legs, and a 463L pallet pack‑out of 12 units within a defined cube).
