Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a sole source contract to Optum Pharmacy 801, Inc. for the compounding of hazardous drugs. The contractor will be required to prepare prescriptions pursuant to a valid order electronically signed by a VA provider and verified by a VA pharmacist. The contractor must also comply with USP 797 and USP 800 and FDA insanitary guideline regulations and prepare HD drugs using aseptic technique. The final product must be compatible with the Equishield closed system transfer devices and the contractor must attach VA Toms River Clinic preferred tubing for administration.
