Description
The Alaska Energy Authority is seeking a contractor to perform snow patrols, weather reporting, and maintenance of the Alaska Intertie Snow Load Monitoring System. The tasks include routine maintenance, automatic snow conditions patrols, call-out directed by the utility dispatcher, daily weather reporting, and providing technical support for future upgrades. The contractor will be required to travel by snowmachine over the line section from Tower 5 to Tower 231, observing and documenting snow and ice accumulation on conductors, static wires, and towers. The contractor will also be responsible for reporting daily weather conditions and providing technical support for future upgrades.
