HEAVY EQUIPMENT – SNOW AND ICE REMOVAL AND HAULING SERVICES

The Prince George's County Government is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to provide heavy equipment, trained operators, and hauling dump trucks to support snow and ice operations. The scope of work includes mechanical snow removal and relocation, breaking and removing compacted snow and ice, widening travel lanes, stacking snow, hauling snow to designated locations, opening access for emergency vehicles and residents, and supporting cleanup after initial plow passes. Contractors must provide all necessary equipment, personnel, and services to perform the work. The contract will be for a base period of one year, with two one-year option periods. The County-established rates will be used for payment, and contractors must acknowledge acceptance of these rates. • The equipment types accepted include skid steer loaders, wheel loaders, backhoes, motor/road graders, mini loaders, and dump trucks with no less than ten cubic yards of capacity. • Operators must be experienced, safety-conscious, and able to follow County-issued instructions. • The County may require AVL on designated equipment for location verification, utilization tracking, or additional resource accountability. • Contractors must provide evidence of insurance coverages and limits required by the solicitation before beginning work. • Subcontracting is permitted only with prior written approval of the County and in accordance with all solicitation and contract requirements.
