Description
Calvert County is seeking qualified contractors to provide comprehensive snow and ice removal services county‑wide for the 2026‑2027 winter season. The contract is non‑exclusive and will be awarded to multiple vendors who can supply labor, operators, vehicles, equipment, anti‑icing, de‑icing, hauling, and maintenance‑of‑traffic support on roadways, bridges, parking lots, sidewalks, trails, County facilities, and school properties. Qualification (Stage 1) is evaluated on a rolling basis; successful vendors may be placed in a reserve pool and later receive route assignments, retainers, and activation orders as winter events occur. The scope includes provision of various dump trucks, plows, spreaders, graders, loaders, and supervisory personnel, with hourly rates and optional preseason/post‑season retainers. Contractors must meet insurance, bonding, and certification requirements and submit required forms (vendor certifications, equipment statements, vehicle inspections, price forms, etc.).
