The Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) is issuing a Request for Quote (RFQ) for a Consulting Project Archivist. The project is funded by a grant from the New York State Archives and aims to arrange, describe, and make recommendations for the remediation of the FIT College Archive, which comprises over 300 cubic feet of materials. The Consulting Project Archivist will work 35 hours a week for 47 weeks, reporting to the Head of Special Collections and FIT College Archive. Key aspects of the RFQ include: 1. **Proposal Requirements**: Proposers must submit their quotes electronically in PDF format, including a cover letter, resume, and completed fee analysis sheet. 2. **Evaluation Criteria**: Proposals will be evaluated based on: 1. Qualifications (80%) 2. Cost-effectiveness (10%) 3. Presentations (10% - optional) 3. **Contract Terms**: The contract will be for a one-year period, with a total of 47 weeks of work. The successful proposer will be required to execute the contract within 10 business days of the award. 4. **Governing Law**: The RFQ will be construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, and any actions arising from the RFQ will be brought in the federal or state courts located in the State of New York.
