Request for Bids (RFB) - DERWA UV Channel Rehabilitation (CIP 26-R023)

The Dublin San Ramon Services District (DSRSD) is seeking a qualified firm to rehabilitate the ultraviolet (UV) disinfection channels within its recycled water treatment plant (RWTP). The selected firm will be required to clean and prepare the UV channel surfaces, prime damaged concrete, apply leveling compound to the eroded channels, and apply multiple coats of chemical resistant coating to protect the channel from future damage and erosion. The project is expected to be completed within two separate, non-consecutive system outage windows, each strictly confined to a single calendar week. The Contractor must adhere to the following scheduling, seasonal, and logistical requirements. Key aspects of the project include: • Coordination with DSRSD staff to schedule all on-site work within the planned RWTP outage window(s) • Submission of a detailed project schedule, including tasks, durations, and dependencies • Implementation of a weather mitigation plan to protect the work site and ensure proper material application and curing • Review of available record drawings, photos, and other available information related to the UV Channels • System outage request and plan, including a mandatory pre-shutdown walk-through • Surface preparation, concrete repair, and barrier coating application according to approved material manufacturer’s specifications • Environmental controls to control water intrusion, active leaks, exposure to potential weather events, etc. • Site cleanup and demobilization, leaving the channels and surrounding area in a clean and fully operational condition
