Description

The U.S. Government is conducting market research to understand what local businesses in Palau can provide for the recovery of UAS debris from land and shallow water. The service involves recovering Group 2 UAS debris after live-fire events, including batteries, fuel residue, electronics, and UAS components. The contractor will need boats for shallow water and manual labor for the beach, and will be responsible for disposing of all recovered items. The desired end state is that no drone parts are visible on the beach during inspection. The recovery will begin at the end of the live fire exercise, which is scheduled to take place from August 1, 2026, to August 2, 2026. Some key points to consider: • The contractor will need to provide boats for shallow water recovery and manual labor for beach recovery. • The contractor will be responsible for disposing of all recovered items. • The recovery will take place in the Republic of Palau, including possible support in or near Koror, Airai, Goikul, airports, seaports, staging areas, waterways, and other exercise support locations. • The contractor will need to remove all visible exercise-generated debris from the designated area within 24 hours of the completion of the live fire exercise.

Budget estimate

$50,000 – $200,000

Based on the scope of work, which involves recovering UAS debris from land and shallow water, including batteries, fuel residue, electronics, and UAS components, the estimated budget could range from $50,000 to $200,000. This estimate takes into account the cost of labor, equipment, and disposal of hazardous materials. The actual budget may vary depending on the complexity of the recovery, the amount of debris, and the contractor's expertise. Factors that may influence the likely payment range include the number of UAS expended, the location of the recovery, and the contractor's ability to meet the performance standard of removing all visible exercise-generated debris within 24 hours.
