School Guardian Services

The Leon County Schools - Purchasing Department is seeking a qualified firm to provide School Guardian Services. The selected firm will be responsible for establishing or assigning one or more Florida Certified Guardians at select school facilities within the District. This is in accordance with the Marjory Stoneman Douglas Act legislation, which requires every elementary, middle, and high school in Florida to have a Safe-Schools Officer physically present on campus while school is in session. The scope of work includes providing qualified guardians to ensure the safety and security of students and staff. • The contractor must provide Florida Certified Guardians. • The contractor must ensure that the guardians are physically present on campus while school is in session. • The contractor must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including the Marjory Stoneman Douglas Act. • The contractor must work closely with the District to ensure a smooth and effective implementation of the School Guardian Services.
