RFB Water Valve Maintenance Skid System LWD DB324

The Town of Colonie Department of Public Works Division of Latham Water is seeking to purchase a flatbed mountable valve maintenance device to improve valve maintenance operations. The device should include a 4-stroke indirect injection diesel engine, integrated hydraulic system, valve exerciser, spoils vacuum, pressure washer, auxiliary hydraulic hose reel, rear-facing light bar, and integrated storage for hand tools. The successful bidder will be required to provide a device that meets the specified requirements and is ready for operation upon delivery. The contract is expected to commence on or about December 1, 2025, and terminate on or about December 1, 2026. • The device should be mounted to a medium-duty truck and require no more work than bolting the unit to the flat bed. • The valve exerciser should have a reach of at least 12 feet and be capable of at least 2500 ft-lb of torque. • The software should prevent over-torquing of valves and record valve location, operating direction, and torque applied. • The controller and datalogger should be wireless and have automated and manual control options. • The spoils vacuum should have a minimum of 500 CFM and a 250-gallon spoils tank. • The pressure washer should have a minimum of 2.5 GPM and 3000 psi. • The auxiliary hydraulic hose reel should have a minimum of 45 feet.
