Description
The City of Merced is seeking an experienced environmental consulting firm to develop a comprehensive Former Sludge Drying Beds (FSDB) Closure Work Plan for its wastewater treatment plant. The contractor will identify and characterize contaminants, assess groundwater‑risk, propose closure and repurposing options, and deliver draft and final plans by March 2027. This effort supports compliance with the NPDES permit and prepares the site for long‑term monitoring.
• Develop a detailed closure work plan covering contaminant characterization, risk assessment, and long‑term monitoring.
• Deliver a draft plan by March 1 2027 and a final plan by March 31 2027.
• Work must comply with California labor‑code, insurance, and prevailing‑wage requirements if the contract exceeds $15,000.
• Provide all required documentation, certifications, and a fee proposal in sealed envelopes by June 2 2026.
