Budget estimate

$39,000 – $98,000

The budget for this opportunity is not explicitly stated in the document. However, it can be estimated based on the services required. The energy consultant will provide various services including procurement and delivery of electricity, evaluation of procurement, negotiation of energy contracts, and analysis of prices and products. The consultant's fee will be paid by the selected Retail Electric Provider after the contract is awarded and the accounts are switched to the selected provider. Assuming the consultant's fee is a percentage of the total energy cost, and considering the District's energy consumption is approximately 49 million kilowatt hours (KWhrs) per year, the total energy cost can be estimated. The average cost of electricity in Texas is around 8-10 cents per kilowatt hour. Therefore, the total energy cost for the District can be estimated to be around $3.9 million to $4.9 million per year. If the consultant's fee is around 1-2% of the total energy cost, the budget for this opportunity can be estimated to be around $39,000 to $98,000 per year.
