Y1DA--Replace Elevators at Garland VA Medical Center 549-24-425

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking potential sources for the Replace Elevators construction project at the Garland VA Medical Center. The project involves replacing, modernizing, and/or repairing ten electric elevators and four hydraulic elevators to correct all functional deficiencies and bring all elevators up to current codes, ADA standards, and VA TIL design guidelines. The contractor shall completely prepare the site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures, and furnish labor and materials and perform work for new construction as required by drawings and specifications. • The project is planned for advertising in February 2026. • The anticipated solicitation will be issued as a request for proposals (RFP) in accordance with FAR part 15, considering technical and price factors. • The magnitude of construction is between $10,000,000 and $20,000,000. • The duration of the project is currently estimated at 512 calendar days from the issuance of a notice to proceed. • The services for this project will include providing all construction-related labor, materials, and equipment required to complete the project as per contract documents prepared by an independent Architect-Engineer firm.
