The City of Columbus Department of Public Utilities is seeking a Construction Manager‑at‑Risk (CMAR) to oversee a comprehensive dewatering improvement program at the Jackson Pike Water Reclamation Plant. The scope includes replacing four existing centrifuge dewatering units (or equivalent technology), redesigning feed and discharge piping, upgrading electrical distribution and motor‑control centers, modernizing building envelopes and HVAC systems, and integrating new instrumentation and control platforms. The contractor will be responsible for design‑build coordination, risk management, schedule adherence, cost control, procurement of long‑lead items, construction‑site safety, commissioning, and warranty services.
• Replace/upgrade four dewatering centrifuges (or alternative screw‑press technology) and associated feed pumps, conveyors, and cake handling equipment.
• Perform extensive mechanical, electrical, civil, and structural upgrades—including new concrete foundations, building envelope repairs, HVAC, and fire‑protection enhancements.
• Deliver CMAR services: constructability reviews, value‑engineering, cost estimates at multiple design stages, development of bid packages, awarding of subcontractor contracts, and management of the construction phase through start‑up and warranty.
