Notice of Intent to Sole Source: DeDietrich Agitator Repair for SA1500 Reactor.

The USDA Forest Service intends to negotiate on a sole-source basis with DeDietrich USA, Inc. for the repair of a DeDietrich agitator for an SA1500 Reactor. The scope of work includes receiving a damaged glass-lined agitator, inspecting to confirm repairability, removing all glass from the agitator, making repairs to the underlying steel structure, reglassing according to the specifications of the original 2012 purchase, confirming integrity of the reglassing, shipping to the Forest Products Laboratory, and carrying out installation with a new cartridge seal. The key requirements of the project include: • The contractor shall have the necessary expertise and experience to repair and reglass the agitator. • The contractor shall provide a service report detailing the installation and confirmation of the glass integrity. • The contractor shall determine the number of people required to accomplish the deliverables. • The contractor shall make all their own travel arrangements. • The service technician will be escorted when on-site.
