As-Needed Tree Maintenance and Removal Services Request For Statement of Qualifications

The Los Angeles County Department of Beaches and Harbors is seeking qualified vendors to provide as-needed tree maintenance and removal services on County-owned, controlled, or managed beaches and public grounds in Marina del Rey. The work will be performed on an as-needed basis, with peak demand between October and December. Vendors must have a minimum of five years' experience, a supervisor with two years' supervisory experience, and a certified biologist available. They must also comply with American Standards National Institute (ANSI) A300 standards for tree care practices and the Department's Policy No. 23 for tree pruning in Marina del Rey and on County beaches. • The vendor must provide tree pruning activities consistent with the Department's policy, including 1:1 plant replacement of any trees removed. • The vendor must have a qualified biologist to survey trees prior to the commencement of any pruning activities. • The vendor must have an office located in Los Angeles County. • The vendor must complete and return required forms with the SOQ submission. • The vendor must not have unresolved questioned costs identified by the Auditor-Controller, in an amount over $100,000.00, that are confirmed to be disallowed costs by the contracting County department, and remain unpaid for six months or more from the date of disallowance.
