Shared Governance Assessment

Michigan State University is seeking a consultant to conduct a comprehensive Shared Governance Assessment to evaluate the effectiveness, responsiveness, and inclusiveness of shared governance across the university. The assessment will include stakeholder engagement, benchmarking, and analysis of current governance structures and processes. The consultant will provide recommendations for improvements and a step-by-step plan for implementing changes. The project will last approximately 6 months, with interim progress reports and a final written report due to the Steering Committee. • The consultant must have experience conducting shared governance assessments and working with large R1 public universities. • The consultant must demonstrate expertise in survey research, focus group facilitation, qualitative interviewing, and benchmarking analysis. • The consultant must provide a detailed methodology for assessment and stakeholder engagement. • The consultant must deliver all final materials in accessible digital formats.
