Removal of Grass, Weeds, Debris and Defacement (Graffiti); Securing Unsafe Structures- Open Pools and Vacant Buildings

The City of Chesapeake is seeking a contractor to provide removal of grass, weeds, debris, and defacement (graffiti) from private properties, as well as securing of unsafe structures, including boarding up of vacant buildings and installation of fencing around pools. The contractor will be required to provide all necessary equipment, labor, and materials to perform the work. The contract will be for a period of one year, with up to four automatic one-year renewals. • The contractor must have experience working with localities similar in size to Chesapeake. • The contractor must provide a detailed listing of all equipment and tools to be used in the performance of the contract. • The contractor must have immediate access to necessary equipment, including pickup trucks, dump trucks, and mowing and vegetation control equipment. • The contractor must provide a list containing the name, address, and telephone number of all persons who will be performing the services required under the contract.
