26-0069 Water and Sewer Infrastructure Replacement

The project involves the construction of approximately 2,600 linear feet of water main and 2,900 linear feet of sewer main along Bridge Street, Butcher Street, Sunset Drive, and Hampshire Street. The scope of work includes removal or abandonment of existing water mains, sewer manholes, and mains, stormwater pollution prevention, traffic control, site restoration, and all other appurtenances necessary to complete the project. The project will be designed and constructed to meet all applicable federal, state, and local accessibility standards. Key aspects of the project include: • Utility trenching and backfilling • Pipe bedding and laying • Concrete encasement and cradles • Anchorage bulkheads • Trench caps and concrete rip-rap • Backfilling and compaction • Cleanup and restoration The contractor will be responsible for conducting the work in a manner that minimizes disturbance to existing utilities and avoids damage to existing structures.
