Description
The Birmingham VA Health Care System requires the procurement of a Dentsply Sirona Primescan intraoral scanner or an equal item, integrated with its mobile Acquisition Center (AC). The acquisition aims to modernize digital dentistry capabilities, enhance workflow efficiency, and improve patient care through high-accuracy digital impressions and expanded clinical treatment options. The contractor shall provide the Primescan intraoral scanner or an equal item, the Primescan Acquisition Center (AC) workstation or an equal item, associated accessories, software connectivity features, installation support, and training necessary to ensure full operational capability for clinical use within the Birmingham VA Dental Service.
Some key requirements include:
• High-performance intraoral scanner capable of producing precise, high-resolution 3D models
• Integrated mobile acquisition center with a 16:9 wide-format touchscreen, touchpad, and ergonomic interface
• Open architecture and workflow flexibility to support efficient laboratory collaboration
• Hygiene and infection control features, including availability of three sleeve varieties
• Upgrade and integration capabilities to support optional upgrade to a full chairside CEREC system
