Sanitary and Highway Garage Spill Remediation

The Town of Greenburgh is seeking a professional environmental remediation consultant to continue monitoring and LNAPL recovery activities and evaluate alternative remediation solutions to remove contamination from a petroleum release at the Highway and Sanitation Garage. The consultant will be responsible for conducting quarterly LNAPL gauging and passive recovery events, active LNAPL recovery events via Vacuum Enhanced Fluid Recovery (VEFR), data evaluation, reporting, and project administration. The consultant will also attend meetings with Town and NYSDEC staff to discuss results. • The project involves a two-year contract with a lump sum payment. • The consultant will conduct eight quarterly LNAPL gauging and passive recovery events and eight quarterly active LNAPL recovery events via VEFR. • The consultant will evaluate the results of the remedial activities and provide three CAP Progress Reports. • The consultant will attend one meeting with Town and NYSDEC staff per round of gauging and recovery activities to discuss results. • The consultant will evaluate three alternative remediation concepts to remove the product more expediently than is currently being achieved.
