RFI/Synopsis: Enhanced Very Low Frequency (VLF) Transducer

The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) is soliciting industry feedback on its assessment that only Sparton DeLeon Springs, LLC can meet the Government's requirements for Enhanced Very Low Frequency (VLF) Transducer capability. The purpose of this notice is to invite industry to challenge this assessment and submit capability statements that demonstrate their ability to fulfill the requirement as defined in the Critical Item Performance Specification (CIPS). The key aspects of this opportunity include: • The requirement is for an Enhanced VLF Transducer capability to support Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) mission sets. • The Government estimates the monetary rough order of magnitude of this change to be 150%. • The contract will be awarded as a sole source Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract modification. • Interested parties must be registered according to the DoD Joint Certification Program (JCP) to access the controlled documents.
