ANNUAL CONTRACT FOR ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTING SERVICES

The City of Visalia is seeking proposals from certified asbestos consultants to provide environmental consulting services on an on-call basis to perform sampling and analysis to determine the presence of asbestos, mold or fungal growth, and lead at designated City of Visalia properties. The initial contract shall be for a 12-month period and shall, at the City's option and upon mutually agreeable terms, be renewable annually thereafter for four consecutive one-year periods. • The consultant will be required to comply with DIR requirements including registration with the DIR, payment of prevailing wages, and submission of electronic payrolls. • The consultant must be certified in the areas of expertise and be registered with the following: DOSH Certified Asbestos Consultant (CAC), Certified Site Surveillance Technician (CSST), State of California Dept of Public Health (CDPH) Lead related Training & Certifications, CDPH Lead Related Project Monitor or Supervisor, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 40-hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) training. • The consultant shall have previously completed at least three environmental consulting projects of similar size and scope of work, and have a minimum of five years practical experience.
