State Exchange on Employment and Disability (SEED) RFI

The Department of Labor's Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) is seeking information to manage and implement the State Exchange on Employment and Disability (SEED) initiative. The SEED initiative aims to provide technical assistance to state policy makers on the development, adoption, and implementation of state policies that help Americans with disabilities secure employment, grow earnings, and build wealth. The objectives of the SEED initiative include providing technical assistance, developing high-quality technical assistance resources, tracking the adoption and implementation of state-level disability employment policies, and partnering with national, regional, and state organizations to educate policy makers on state-level evidence-based disability employment policies and practices. Some key aspects of the job include: • Providing technical assistance for state legislative and executive branch policy makers • Developing high-quality technical assistance resources and policy briefs • Tracking the adoption and implementation of state-level disability employment policies • Partnering with national, regional, and state organizations • Convening forums and learning exchanges for state policy makers • Identifying evolving disability employment issues and assisting in the development of responsive policy frameworks
