2026-27 Field Renovation – Buffaloe Road Athletic Park – Field 5

The City of Raleigh is soliciting bids for the renovation of Field 5 at the Buffaloe Road Athletic Park. The primary purpose of this project is to renovate the skinned infield area and convert the sideline warning tracks to natural turf. The contractor will be responsible for cutting existing turf, removing existing dirt, grading the infield, installing new materials, and constructing batter's and catcher's boxes. The project requires a Certified Field Builder certification from the American Sports Builders Association and completion of similar projects within the last five years. • The project includes renovation of the skinned infield area and conversion of sideline warning tracks to natural turf. • The contractor must have a Certified Field Builder certification and completed similar projects within the last five years. • The project requires the installation of specified soils and sod to establish a finished playing surface. • The contractor must grade the existing infield to ensure uniform placement of new materials and construct batter's and catcher's boxes as specified. • The project includes modification of the existing irrigation system.
