Description

The Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) is seeking industry partners to commercialize its Dual-Material for Two-photon Printing for High-resolution, Multi-material 3D Structure Manufacturing technology. This technology enables the creation of complex structures with high resolution and control over material properties. The ideal partner will have expertise and facilities relevant to commercializing this technology. Some key points about this opportunity include: • The technology has the ability to selectively trigger disparate photochemistry, enabling heterogeneous materials in a 3D structure in high resolution. • The technology allows for control and tuning of printed materials' optical, mechanical, and electrochemical properties. • The approach simplifies the manufacturing process by finishing the heterogeneous structure in a single vat process without changing the precursor resin. • Potential applications include inertial confinement fusion printing, precision medical, and polymer/metal printing.

Budget estimate

$500,000 – $5,000,000

Given the complexity and novelty of the Dual-Material for Two-photon Printing for High-resolution, Multi-material 3D Structure Manufacturing technology, it's difficult to estimate the exact budget. However, considering the potential applications in high-tech fields such as inertial confinement fusion printing and precision medical, the budget could be substantial. A possible budget range could be between $500,000 and $5 million, depending on the scope and scale of the commercialization efforts. Factors that may influence the likely payment range include the level of investment required for commercialization, the potential market demand for the technology, and the level of competition in the industry.
