Description
The US Air Force is seeking a contractor to provide maintenance and sustainment services for the T-38 Virtual Reality Part Task Trainer (VRPTT) system at Whiteman AFB, Missouri. The contractor will be responsible for performing routine equipment and software sustainment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of the T-38A VRPTT. The scope of work includes preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, software maintenance, and technical expertise requirements. The contractor must ensure the VRPTT system is fully operational and meets all performance specifications. Key tasks include:
• Replacing faulty parts and equipment
• Calibrating all systems to ensure synchronization
• Updating the VRPTT within 180 days of an aircraft upgrade/modification
• Inspecting for potential design defects and reporting them to the Contracting Officer
• Implementing modifications as directed by the Government
The period of performance is for a base year of 12 months and four option years of 12 months each, with a total contract duration of 66 months.
