SOLE SOURCE: Haas Wireless Intuitive Probing System Components for NOAA/NWS

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is seeking to award a sole source contract to Phillips Corporation for the purchase of Haas Wireless Intuitive Probing System (WIPS) components. The contract includes the installation of two WIPS systems on existing Haas CNC mills, as well as the update and verification of software for both CNC mills. The contractor will also install an I/O Board, update software on an existing Haas Lathe, and install a Y-axis cover on one CNC mill. The service includes leveling and testing of all three machines. • The contract is for a sole source award to Phillips Corporation, the exclusive distributor for Haas CNC for US government facilities. • The contract includes the purchase of Haas WIPS components and associated services. • The contractor will install and test the WIPS systems, as well as update and verify software for the CNC mills. • The contract is expected to be awarded directly to Phillips Corporation, with no other authorized partners or resellers able to provide the Haas WIPS system and associated components.
