Purchase of Automated Recycling and Trash Carts

The City of Shelton is seeking bids for the purchase of automated recycling and trash carts. The carts should be designed to contain trash or recycling materials and be compatible with a fully automated truck system. The successful bidder will be required to deliver the carts to the City and provide a warranty for a minimum of 10 years. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality or technicality. • The carts should be made of medium density polyethylene and have a minimum capacity of 95 or 64 gallons. • The carts should have a lid that can be imprinted with a custom hot stamp, heat transferred label, or in-mold label technology. • The carts should have wheels and a handle that can be easily pushed or pulled. • The carts should be designed to be dumped by a fully automated truck system. • The successful bidder will be required to provide a non-returnable sample of each size cart at no charge to the City.
