Evidence-Based TGI Cultural Competency Training

The County of Fresno is seeking a vendor to provide virtual evidence-based cultural competency training for its staff. The training must meet the requirements outlined in the California Department of Health Care Services Behavioral Health Information Notice No: 25-019 and must be completed by over 1,500 staff to ensure compliance. The training should be responsive to diverse cultural health beliefs and practices, preferred languages, health literacy, and other communication needs. The vendor should provide effective, equitable, understandable, and respectful quality care and services. Some key points to consider: • The training must be completed every two years and new employees must complete it within 45 days of hire • The vendor should provide language assistance to individuals who have limited English proficiency and/or other communication needs • The vendor should inform all individuals of the availability of language assistance services clearly and in their preferred language, verbally and in writing • The vendor should ensure the competence of individuals providing language assistance • The vendor should provide easy-to-understand print and multimedia materials and signage in the languages commonly used by the populations in the service area
