Budget estimate

$10,000,000 – $30,000,000

A Phase II detention‑center construction of this size typically runs in the low‑to‑mid tens of millions of dollars, depending on final design, material costs, and subcontractor bids. Based on comparable county detention projects, a reasonable estimate is between $10 million and $30 million for the total contract value. Factors influencing the range include the scope breadth (multiple trade packages), security‑equipment specifications, and prevailing construction market rates in Mississippi.
