SOUTH CAROLINIANA UPDATE FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEM

The University of South Carolina seeks a qualified contractor to upgrade the fire suppression system at the Carolina Library building in Columbia. The scope is limited to replacing the existing fire pump controller with a soft‑start type and updating the associated normal and emergency generator wiring, while all other fire protection equipment, including the fire pump, fuel tank, and emergency generator, must remain in place. Bids are accepted only via hand delivery or mail. • Replace existing fire pump controller with a new soft‑start controller per engineer specifications. • Rewire normal and emergency generator connections to the new controller. • Preserve all existing sprinkler system components, fire pump, fuel tank, and emergency generator. • Submit bids by hand delivery or mail no later than May 27, 2026, 2:30 PM.
