The Union Free School District of the Tarrytowns is seeking a qualified organization to design, staff, and operate a full‑day universal pre‑kindergarten (UPK) program for the 2026‑2027 school year. The contract will cover up to 144 four‑year‑old children across eight classroom sections located at John Paulding Elementary School, with optional off‑site classrooms if needed. The provider will deliver curriculum aligned with NYS standards, conduct health and diagnostic screenings, supply all program materials, manage staffing (certified teachers and assistants), provide nutrition services, and coordinate family‑support and transition services. The district supplies meals, furniture, and transportation for the first year, while the contractor supplies all instructional supplies and staff salaries. The award is anticipated before September 1 2026, with a one‑year performance period (July 1 2026 – June 30 2027) and up‑to‑four renewal options.
