Description
The City of East St. Louis is seeking qualified contractors to perform comprehensive electrical upgrades at the Clyde C. Jordan Center, including the building and commercial kitchen. The scope covers evaluation of existing service, replacement or modification of panels, breakers, feeders, branch circuits, dedicated kitchen equipment circuits, interior lighting, emergency lighting, GFCI protection, grounding, and final testing/commissioning. Bidders must submit five sealed copies of a complete proposal package (original plus five copies) by 10:00 a.m. on May 28, 2026 to the City Clerk’s office. Mandatory pre‑bid meeting is scheduled for May 21, 2026 at 11:30 a.m. at the Jordan Center. The City requires extensive insurance (general liability, auto, umbrella, workers’ comp, professional liability) and performance bonds for contracts over $10,000, as well as MWBE participation. Evaluation will consider price, prior work, references, capacity, and MWBE/Section 3 compliance.
