The New York City Housing Authority is seeking a contractor to rehabilitate, modernize, and subsequently maintain fourteen elevators across seven NYCHA residential buildings (five at Rutgers Houses and two at Straus Houses). The scope includes complete removal of existing systems, supply and installation of new elevator equipment (machines, controls, hoistway components, car enclosures, doors, communication and safety devices), testing, commissioning, training, and coordination with NYCHA and other trades. A separate Maintenance and Service Agreement will be awarded for ongoing post‑modernization support. • 14 elevators (10 at Rutgers, 4 at Straus) to be fully modernized and brought to current code standards. • Phased construction required to minimize service interruptions for residents. • Contractor must also enter a post‑completion maintenance agreement (Part B). • Competitive sealed‑bid solicitation with pre‑bid conference (optional) and site‑visit (optional). • All bids to be submitted electronically via iSupplier by 09/10/2026.
