Request for Qualifications for Engineering Services for Water Improvements

The Town of Mathiston is seeking qualified firms or individuals to provide engineering services for a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Economic Development Initiative (EDI) project related to water improvements, including a water well, elevated water tank, and water distribution lines. The scope of work includes preparing plans and specifications, distributing bid documents, assisting in bid opening and preparing bid tabulation, assisting in the execution of construction contracts, holding pre-construction conferences, and performing construction inspections. The town encourages Minority-owned Business Enterprises (MBEs), Woman-owned Business Enterprises (WBEs), and Section 3 eligible businesses to submit proposals. Proposals will be evaluated on qualifications, experience, and capacity for performance. • The project includes water improvements such as a water well, elevated water tank, and water distribution lines. • The engineer will be responsible for providing all engineering services through project closeout. • The town encourages MBEs, WBEs, and Section 3 eligible businesses to submit proposals. • Proposals will be evaluated on qualifications, experience, and capacity for performance. • The contract will be on a fixed price basis. • The town has the authority to terminate the selection at any time.
