The Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS) is seeking a vendor to provide Cyber Incident Response (IR) services in preparation for and in response to a major unplanned/unanticipated cyber event. The selected vendor will be required to provide incident response for a broad range of cyber events, including but not limited to: malware, ransomware, data breach, account compromise, and Denial of Service Attacks. The vendor must have a team that includes members with professional incident response certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, or EC-Council. The vendor must also provide 24/7/365 availability for emergency incident response and have incident response team members at requested TRS locations within 24 hours as required.
Some key points to consider are:
• The initial contract term will be one year from the effective date of the contract, with three one-year optional renewals.
• The vendor must honor TRS data sovereignty conditions and maintain any TRS data within the continental US.
• The vendor must provide emergency incident response as indicated in the Statement of Work, without requiring TRS to use a specific technical solution.
• The incident response team must include only the vendor's full-time employees.
