Description
The Indian Health Service (IHS) intends to award a sole source contract to Change Healthcare/Optum for pharmacy switching services at the Cass Lake Indian Hospital in Minnesota. The contract will be for a base year plus three one-year options. The service requires the ability to submit pharmaceutical claims electronically from the RPMS computer system to third-party drug plans for reimbursement. Change Healthcare/Optum is the only vendor that can provide this service compatible with the IHS RPMS system.
Key aspects of the job include:
• Submitting pharmaceutical claims electronically to third-party drug plans for reimbursement
• Providing switching services, including Connect (switch), Edits (pre and post), Card Finder, Web Services Surescripts, and Web Services Medicare Eligibility
• Compatibility with the IHS RPMS system
• Meeting the needs of the Cass Lake Indian Hospital pharmacy, which generates over 50% of the facility's revenue
