Description

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Science Mission Directorate (SMD) is releasing its annual omnibus Research Announcement (NRA), Research Opportunities in Space and Earth Sciences (ROSES) – 2022. This program element, titled "Planetary Instrument Concepts for the Advancement of Solar System Observations," is one of the individual program elements within ROSES. Proposals may be submitted at any time, pending certain eligibility timing issues. The award will be made as grants, cooperative agreements, contracts, and inter- or intra-agency transfers. The typical period of performance for an award is three years. • Proposers must be affiliated with an institution at nspires.nasaprs.com/ and, in general, NASA provides funding only to US institutions. • Organizations outside the U.S. that propose on the basis of a policy of no-exchange-of-funds; consult the Guidebook for Proposers for specific details. • The ROSES-23 version of this program element is planned to overlap with the ROSES-22 version by a few weeks, allowing continuous submission of proposals across ROSES years. • Proposers must retrieve the instructions document (zip file) associated with the application package for this opportunity as there is at least one required form that must be attached to the submitted proposal package.
