Description
The University of Maryland, College Park is seeking a natural gas supplier to provide natural gas to all firm accounts listed in this RFP. The supplier must be able to provide pricing to all four Local Distribution Companies within the four groups. The University anticipates making one award per service area. The contract term shall commence on the first meter read after January 1, 2026, and shall terminate either 24, 36, 48, or 60 months after the commencement of deliveries. The key responsibilities of the supplier include providing natural gas, managing the ongoing deliveries, and ensuring that the University is not penalized or incurs additional costs as a result of over- and under-deliveries.
• The supplier must be licensed by the Maryland Public Service Commission.
• The supplier must have a minimum senior unsecured debt rating of at least “BBB” from S&P or Baa3 from Moody’s.
• The supplier must provide a copy of its most current annual report and 10-K report.
• The supplier must have experience in providing natural gas to retail customers.
• The supplier must be able to provide consolidated billing for BGE and WGL accounts.
