Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), New Orleans District, is preparing to issue a solicitation for maintenance dredging of the East and West Calumet Floodgate approach channels located in St. Mary Parish, Louisiana. The work consists of the removal of shoal material from within the Wax Lake Outlet approach channels to the East and West Calumet Floodgates and the satisfactory disposal of dredged material into the Wax Lake Outlet channel beyond the -35-foot contour. No dike construction is anticipated. The estimated period of performance is approximately 40 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. The solicitation will include approximately five (5) drawings and specifications.
• The solicitation is anticipated to be issued as a Total Small Business Set-Aside.
• The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990.
• The magnitude of construction is between $500,000 and $1,000,000.
• Bidders shall maintain an active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at https://www.sam.gov to be eligible for a Government contract award.
• Technical inquiries and/or questions relating to this solicitation shall be submitted via Bidder Inquiry in ProjNet at (https://www.projnet.org) no later than Wednesday, May 27, 2026, 2:00 PM Central Time (CST).
