The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking bids for custom wheelchairs, accessories, and parts for clients at the Denton State Supported Living Center. The contract will be for a period of time, with the possibility of renewal or extension. The vendor will be required to provide assessment, training, and follow-up services, as well as adhere to Medicare and Medicaid funding rules and regulations. The vendor must also have a certified Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) on staff. • The required goods and services include wheelchairs, parts, and accessories, as well as evaluation and fitting services. • The vendor must comply with facility policies and protected health information regulations. • The vendor must implement services and supports in a timely manner and follow the facility's purchasing process. • The vendor must have the ability to respond to service calls within four hours of notification. • The vendor must provide training to staff and individuals on the operation and maintenance of wheelchairs.
