Mississippi River Greenway (MRG) Trail Reconstruction Project

Dakota County is seeking qualified contractors to reconstruct a portion of the Mississippi River Greenway (MRG) trail. The scope includes reclaiming the first 900 ft of existing trail, reconstructing an additional 1,500 ft, realigning the trail, adjusting vertical profiles, constructing a new retaining wall, and completing landscaping and seeding work. The project will be bid electronically via QuestCDN’s VirtuBid™ system, and all bids must be submitted by May 22 2026. • Reclaim 900 ft of existing trail and reconstruct 1,500 ft between CSAH 42 (Nininger Rd) and USACE Lock and Dam #2. • Perform trail realignment, vertical profile adjustments (up to 10 ft lowering), and construct a retaining wall adjacent to the existing wall. • Complete site grading, soil replacement, seeding, shrub and tree planting, and reinstall salvaged benches/picnic tables on a shortened overlook trail. • All documents are available digitally (download fee $22, online bid fee $42); bids are accepted exclusively through the virtual bid platform.
