Description

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is conducting a market survey to inform industry of its intent to compete the requirement for the modernization of the FAA-owned National Airport Pavement Test Vehicle (NAPTV). The objective is to upgrade the hydraulic, electrical, and control systems to support wheel loads up to 90,000 pounds. Interested organizations should submit a response, not to exceed 2 pages in length, that contains information about their capabilities in meeting the FAA's requirement. The scope of work includes evaluating the current system, providing replacement components, removing existing components, installing and integrating new components, conducting operational testing, and ensuring compatibility and functionality of all components. • The contractor must provide all necessary personnel, labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision, and incidental items to perform these tasks. • The contractor must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations and standards. • The contractor must implement Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures for all electrical and hydraulic systems being worked on. • The government can provide support such as forklifts, cranes, and staging areas if needed.
